"Bloodrayne 2", 2004.

I never played this one. As best as I can tell its primary selling point is that its logo looks like a dagger nestled between two breasts -- which would certainly be a plausible technique for moving units. The ad itself goes to some lengths to suggest that it is printed on some kind of fetish night costume. The whole ad concept ("other exciting features") is predicated on a certain prurient interest in the contents of Rayne's corset -- and such crass and obvious fetishization overlooks a critical aspect of dhampir lore, their rubbery bones! If you want kinky, there's no need to doll your protagonist up like a streetwalker when you could present her as a supernaturally-talented contortionist!

"BLOODRAYNE 2 REDEFINES THE FRANCHISE,
MAKING IT ONE OF THE TOP NAMES IN GAMING."

Intense Violence and Sexual Themes are always an uneasy combination at best. I like how the Strong Language advisory trails them, as though it might change the mind of a parent who didn't have a problem with the previous two warning items. "Unique killing puzzles" sounds like Saw territory, but I doubt this game aspires to be so lofty.
